Admission for New Students
The acceptance criteria for prospective students at FEB UNP are based on three types of recruitment pathways: (1) National Selection for State Universities (SNBP); (2) Joint Selection for State Universities (SNBT); and (3) Independent and Achievement-based pathways.
SNBP Admission
SNBP is a selection based on the academic achievements of prospective undergraduate students (S-1) conducted by each State University under the coordination of a central committee. Eligible participants must be in their final year of senior high school, demonstrate consistent academic performance, rank within the top quotas designated by their school’s accreditation, and meet additional criteria set by Universitas Negeri Padang and central committee regulations. Further details on SNBP admission requirements and procedures can be found on the button below.
SNBT Admission
SNBT involves computer-based testing, for prospective undergraduate students (S-1) coordinated centrally. Admission through SNBT occurs after the final school exams or national exams in senior high school and SNBP, with a capacity of 40% of the study program. Eligible participants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent and have graduated within the last three years. Further guidance on SNBT admission procedures can found on the button below.
Independent, Achievement, and ADIK/Affirmation
The independent selection is also used for admitting students. The independent selection is based on academic achievements and/or SNBT results, achievements in fields such as science, sports, arts, Qur’anic recitation, or memorization. Admission through the independent selection process, conducted by Universitas Negeri Padang, occurs after the announcement of SNBT results, with a capacity of 30% of the study program. Detailed requirements for participation in the independent and achievement selection can be found on the button below.
